Global displacement monitor
Country-level present IDP figures from the IOM DTM public API, with round-to-round change computed inside each country's primary DTM operation. Change is not evidence of conflict escalation. A recorded figure can move because populations moved, because assessment coverage changed, or both.

Countries with no DTM coverage are unshaded. Four covered states (Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines) fall below the resolution of the bundled boundary file and appear in the table but not on the map.
Methodology and provenance
- Source
- International Organization for Migration (IOM), Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM). Public API v3.
- Endpoint
- /v3/displacement/admin0
- Geographic level
- Admin 0 (country)
- Operation
- Primary operation selected per country: most recent reporting date, then widest unit coverage
- Reporting period
- Latest available round per country. Rounds are not synchronised across countries.
- Assessment round
- Varies by country

- Calculation
- Raw rows, disaggregated by displacement reason and origin, are summed to a national present-IDP figure per operation and round. Momentum compares the latest round with the preceding round of the same operation.
Known limitations
- Assessment cadence differs by country and operation, so momentum values are not comparable across countries without accounting for the interval between rounds.
- Figures may be estimates derived from key informants and secondary sources rather than exact enumeration.
- A country covered by several concurrent operations is represented by one of them, not by their sum.
- Boundary geometry is drawn at 110m resolution and is illustrative. It carries no analytic weight.
MOSAIC-derived indicator. Not an IOM classification.
